Realme 6i was launched in India on Friday and is that the third phone within the series behind the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro that were both announced in India in March. The Realme 6i is a stripped down version of the Realme 6. It retains most of the specifications of the predecessor like the MediaTek Helio G90T SoC and 90Hz display, but it does accompany a couple of downgrades, like a 48MP camera rather than a 64MP snapper and 20W charger bundled in the box as against a 30W charger. Realme 6i price in India is Rs 12,999 for the 4GB + 64GB base variant. The 6GB + 64GB variant is priced at Rs 14,999. The smartphone comes in Lunar White and Eclipse Black colours and will get on sale via Realme.com and Flipkart. The first sale date is July 31st at 12pm IST.

Realme 6i sports a 6.5-inch full-HD+ display with 1,080 X 2,400 pixels resolution, a punch-hole cutout, 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio, and 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the 12nm 2.05GHz MediaTek Helio G90T SoC including Mali-G76 GPU. It comes in two models: 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 64GB UFS 2.1 storage that’s further expandable via microSD card. The handset runs Android 10 OS with Realme UI custom skin on top. It houses a 4,300mAh battery and supports 30W fast charging. However, Realme is bundling the phone with a 20W charger within the box. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security which will unlock the phone in only 0.29 seconds.
As for the cameras, the Realme 6i features a AI quad camera setup consisting of a 48MP primary sensor with LED flash, EIS, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens with 119-degree field-of-view, a 2MP mono lens, and a 2MP 4cm macro lens. On the front, it has a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. Connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/GLONASS, and USB Type-C. Realme says the phone comes with waterproofing because of silicone protection, although there is no IP rating.
